时光流逝，在Super Tight发行之后的两年，也就是到了96年，UGK发行这张Ridin’ Dirty,事实证明这是UGK奠定地位的一张最重要的专辑，可以说这张专辑对于当时的南部来说就相当于Public Enemy的It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back对于扭腰,Jay-Z，T.I，Chamillionaire也都说这是自己最喜欢的UGK专辑了，而且在没有发行任何单曲和mv的情况下这张专辑就卖到了金唱片，不过金唱片就是UGK最好的成绩了….囧
对于封面没什么好说的，在上一张山寨了Swisher Sweets的标志以后发现效果还不错，所以继续沿用了，这也是UGK从94年起一直用的商标图案了
Pimp C依然完成了这张专辑的大部分制作,笔者一直坚持认为Pimp C作为一个制作人的实力没有得到应有的肯定，至于能不能得到作为听众的你的肯定，请听完以后自行判断
好的我们进入专辑
01 Intro
没什么可说的，略带忧伤的几句对白，不值得再听的
02 One Day
音乐响起的时候让人根本忽略了之前还有一个intro这样的东西，Ron Isley的声音响起的时候让人觉得感情到位到令人发指（虽然事实是这个声音根本就不是Ron Isley的，而是由本地的一个歌手Ronnie Spencer来演绎的）For one day u here，and then u gone这么伤感的句子和之后的鼓点契合的如此完美，低沉的bass让听众的情感随之low到g点，毫不客气的说这首歌的制作放在今天也一点都不过时，而这首歌也是笔者最喜欢的UGK的歌曲没有之一，如果你不喜欢这首歌的话请不要跟我说，因为我会憎恨你
3-2先生在第一段里讲述了他从14岁就开始卖快客的故事，不知道他那个能不能称为flow，不过必须得承认听起来还挺入耳的

So shit I walk around wit my mind blown in my own fuckin zone

Bun B伴随着悲伤的Beat讲述了一个朋友的过世，他们的生活并不只有hustle的。有趣的是原本Bun B是不想唱这首歌的，理由是这首歌实在是太悲伤了，但是随着他所讲述的这位朋友的去世他改变了主意，这也从侧面反映了这首歌情感是多么的到位

Smoke two sweets get in these streets out the pop up line
Peanut holder my boulders smolder on the PA pipes
Ak loader as I get swallowed under city lights
Niggas be lookin shife so I look shife back
Cant show no weakness in these streets you’ll get yo life jacked
Mayn its a trip where i stay especially for me
This bitches tryin to lock me up for the whole century
They gave my boy down in Florida Dante 19
I wish that we could smoke again and take a tight lean
My world a trip you can ask Bun B bitch I aint no liar
My man RoRo jus lost his baby in a house fire
And then when I got on my knees that night to pray
I asked God why he let these killas live and take my homeboy’s son away
Man if you got kids show em you love em cuz God jus might call em home
Cuz one day you here but baby the next day you gone
Pimp C不逞多让，也是讲述比较辛酸的内容而不是跟女人有关的咸湿故事，而且笔者认为My man RoRo jus lost his baby in a house fire配上背景beat的变化分明就谋杀了整首歌，实在是太到位了
这首歌不论从旋律还是歌词都十分的致命而且配合的十分默契，it can make a grown man cry，就是这样的一首经典
03 Murder
在前面那样悲伤一首歌曲之后衔接一个这样的歌曲显得狠突兀，笔者也是听完前面之后缓了一会才进行这首的，这也说明这张专集曲目的编排不是狠到位。
这首的内容完全于one day相反可以说，单调而且略显吵闹的hook连接起两个人对自己生活的骄傲
South Texas mutherfucka that’s where I stay
这句Pimp C的话后来被Paul Wall所采，放在他The People’s Champ里面的They Don’t Know里面，那首分明就是向UGK致敬的，可惜当时Pimp C已经在牢里无法出来和Bun一起客串顺便友爱地拍拍后辈的头
04 Pinky Ring
Funky的节奏响起来和Pimp C的唱腔搭配起来再看一下题目我们就知道这首歌的主题是什么了，依然是炫耀自己对自己生活的自豪，不过内容更加物质化而已，Bun B在这里职业生涯首次提到了eighty-fo’，这个几乎现在他段段必提
在歌曲的结尾Pimp C给当时所有的人来了个shout out，不过那句New Orleans in the house让人想起了N年以后的某国R&B歌手的Jolin in the house,不知道UGK知道自己被如此山寨了以后会感觉如何..
05 Diamonds & Wood
前面带的谈话纯属是多余的，不过带出来的旋律和beat狠有one day的延续的意思，但是内容是相反的，被chop&screw的hook那个时候还用的还不是特别多，还是比较新鲜的，95年的时候Screwed Up Click已经组队并且发片，而UGK于Dj Screw的关系也是相当不错的（专集的封面就是摄于Dj Screw的家门口）

And when you change for the better, shife fools stop comin’ around
I see the jealousy and hatin’ and the wicked ways
We all lost children, prey for paper, smokin’ our life away
Got to the point where I could not decipher day from night
She say she love me, but all we do now is fuck and fight
My conscience fuck wit’ me so much that I can’t eat or sleep
The other side of sellin’ dope, and out there runnin’ the streets
And even though I’m gainin’ street fame, comin’ from this rap game
Lustful thinkin’ and compulsive drinkin’ is a normal thang
Some get erased and mis-placed, tryin’ to win the race
Some try to hold on to they place, by smokin’ wit’ lace
But see drugs and plastic thugs ain’t gon’ change the hood
I’m smokin’ skunk and poppin’ the trunk to make me feel good
笔者认为Pimp P的这段verse是相当精彩的，并不是完全炫耀自己的物质资产而是描述了一些不如人意的东东，而在最后一句的转折狠成功的烘托了他的形象，这应该是Thinkin I’m The One Whos Doin Dope的一个延续
06 3 In The Mornin’
凌晨3点钟是什么概念？如果你是想起了张智成的同名歌曲那么请你离开，这是泥格们在街上混饭吃的时间，真的hustler不睡觉的因为bussiness是24-7的。
虽然这首是有N.O Joe客串的，但是Bun B和Pimp C在首尾优秀的表现完全可以把他忽略了
07 Touched
前面又是一段对话…笔者认为这些对自己的采样虽然很山寨很概念但是是比较失败的
画面感很强的词证明Bun和Pimp是狠优秀的storyteller,在这里不失幽默的讲述了他们是如何对付不老实看着自己的生意地盘而是想到UGK那里撒野的人
08 Fuck My Car
美国的汽车文化是想要研究嘻嘻就不能忽略的一个重大知识点，不过这首歌没有告诉大家如何改车如何买车，倒是感觉像是Big l的No Endz No Skinz的No Carz No Skinz版
Fifty dollars there, a hundred dollars here
You brought the bitch a drink and all her homegirls a beer
Your homeboys lookin for ya, but yo’ ass gone
You left your niggaz at the club and took ALL them hoes home
And didn’t even fuck, MAN WHAT THE FUCK?!
If you didn’t want to fuck then get the fuck up out the truck!
Bun B对于蠢卵的描写总是能让人发笑的
When you look at my chrome and you lick your lips
It’s just like I’m rubbin my dick between your hips
And when you smile and shake your ass, my grill smile right back
Bitch I’m the real, that’s why I ride Cadillac
伴随着beat的变化没有鼓点只有汽车引擎的声音Pimp C的这几句还是很有气势的，咸湿本色尽显
09 That’s Why I Carry
随着Funky的beat，和Bun B在前面的絮叨，两个人合力向我们讲述或者说解释了街头生活的凶险和不易所以要带着枪才行
10 Hi-Life
人声先手，随后是鼓点和旋律，动听的同时笔者不仅建议大家把one day,hi-life这两首当成上下部一起听，因为内容一脉相成的是讲hustle life的另一面，无奈和矛盾，对家庭的责任，等等
N.O Joe本就不应该作为rapper出现的，在这里以hook出现的效果比之前好上一万倍
In 1996 niggas is dyin’ from layin’ on that ass
First Magic Johnson got it, then Eazy-E died
And you wonder why yo’ niggas out there smokin’ fry
I wish that I could tell you I wore a rubber everytime
But if I told you that nigga you know that I be lyin’

怎么说呢？前面两句让人唏嘘还没反过劲来Pimp C随后就甩出几句相当致命的话
The streets’ll eat your ass alive
Take your positions with pistols, bare hands, and knives
And nobody’s surprised if somebody
Don’t survive the dusk to see dawn
It’s treacherous how we was left to die
On the streets that we be on
Motherfuckers sleepin’ on them corners that you pee on
Bun B讲述了泥格生活的艰辛不易，珍惜生活啊
11 Good Stuff
这是相当咸湿的一首歌曲，如果你喜欢这样的主题，那么，就多听几遍吧….
12 Ridin’ Dirty
title track,略显平淡的beat，不过不同于后辈Chamillionaire的ridin dirty,UGK是真正ridin dirty的。
13 Outro
几句谈话，几声枪响，没什么值得再听的价值了，不过后面突然传来的旋律告诉你这是有hidden track的，相当悠扬的曲调了，不过当你真的沉浸在hidden track带来的兴奋和刺激的时候，你的心会非常凉因为这根本不是hidden track，不过是带了配乐的thankulist朗诵和兄弟的shout out而已
可以说是这张Ridin’ Dirty把UGK带到了另一个高度，虽然有几首质量不那么上乘的歌曲，不过还是像one day,hi-life这样replay value相当高的歌曲，而Pimp C在最最后的一句rest in peace,似乎更是说给他们自己的，因为随后他们便沉寂了5年，这个以后再介绍。
